Ana Elisa Egreja: The Flight of Color
Selected Works Details
The Flight of Color presents painting as a sensorial structure rather than a purely decorative surface. Ana Elisa Egreja builds lush, atmospheric interiors through intense colour, layered pattern, and a heightened sense of domestic theatricality. Across the exhibition, close looking reveals subtle shifts in rhythm, material texture, and emotional register.

In conversation with Ayesha Kapoor and the DualSpace curatorial team.
The Flight of Color brings together painted surfaces, spatial rhythm, and sensorial depth to create an environment that feels both intimate and theatrical. The exhibition invites visitors to move through layers of colour the way one might move through a remembered interior, where emotion and architecture are inseparable.
Rather than presenting colour as decoration, the exhibition treats it as structure: a force that directs attention, shapes memory, and transforms perception. Works are installed to encourage a gradual unfolding, from close looking at material detail to wider readings of atmosphere and scale.
